albumin prints
50 photographs, each 18.8 x 23.5cm
Reportedly originally belonging to an engineer who worked on the construction of the line, the album has 50 photographs, mostly of stations and sections of the line, but also of the landscape that the line passed through in the area between Tabuk and Mada’in Salih. The photographs were most likely shot by ‘Ali Sami, military engineer and photographer to Sultan ‘Abdulhamid II.
