The manuscript includes 2 diagrammatic drawings of the al-Hujrah al-sharifah (folio 16b) and the al-Rawdah al-mutahharah (folio 18a), at the Prophet’s mosque in Medina. The depiction of the Holy Sanctuary at Mecca, normally found in Ottoman copies of the work but which is not described in al-Jazuli’s text, is absent from copies made in North Africa.
