Sweden, South-east Scania
first half of the 19th century
interlocked tapestry
57.5 x 60 cm
This design was used throughout Scania and Blekinge, though mainly in south-west Scania. However, the ‘T’ border on this example is indicative of a south-east Scanian provenance. Similar examples in Swedish collections are dated between 1796 and 1830.
