Sweden, Scania, Jerrestads district
first half of the 19th century
interlocked tapestry
55 x 102 cm
This tapestry has a design of wide bands separated by narrow stripes of the heart-and-hourglass motif, which was also much used in Ingelstads. In museum collections there are bed covers – which only exist in a limited number of patterns and from a few regions – with similar designs.
