Other Notes:

The enamelled decoration on the body is applied in a series of nine registers and only the underside of the body is left plain. The shoulder bears a wide band with a dedication to an unnamed sultan, in thulth script outlined in red and with some traces of gilding, on a blue enamel background. It reads, ‘Glory to His Majesty the Sultan, the King, the wise, the just’.
