This is one of the largest known vessels with facet-cut decoration. Its entire surface is covered with evenly-cut designs, carefully positioned to make the most of the play of light on the concave facets. The stepped base mirrors the profile of the shoulder, but its underside has been ground flat, removing any traces of a pontil mark.
